Replace LNB and align Sky dish - single story house

Job image

Job description

Satellite dish
Manukau

In the past, I had occasionally used the Sky dish that came with the house for Freeview DVB-S but it has stopped working. I have tested the set-top box with a small portable dish sitting onside on the ground which works fine, so the issue is either because of a faulty LNB or the dish on the roof has an alignment problem (unlikely). I know how to fix this myself but am not particularly keen on climbing on the roof, even though it is only a single storey house. It is not a settings issue; and yes, I have tried setting the LNB to both 10750 and 11300 MHz before scanning but neither worked. It should be a relatively simple job. All I need is for someone to climb on the roof, replace the LNB. I doubt that the dish is out of alignment. There's no super rush for this job, as I mostly use DVB-T for Freeview. Of course, this will have to wait till level 4 lockdown eases.

Happy, happy, happy! It is a really simple non-urgent job. I provided the exact specs and correct diagnosis up-front. Unlike others who quoted ridiculous minimum call-out fee, hourly rate, etc. Ash offered a reasonable quote for the whole job. I accepted. Job done. No contact during lockdown. No complications. End of story.
