Architrave for french doors to support curtain rod

The wall above our french doors does not have an additional architrave like all our other door frames. The curtain rods are screwed directly into plasterboard, and they are sagging under the weight of the curtains. We wish to affix an elongated triangle shaped board to the wall on which to attach the curtain rods for stability. We will need this done fairly urgently, as now 2 brackets have almost detached from the wall.
