Leak detection help needed

I need help finding a leak that is creating a damp patch on carpet when it rains. We can't find the source of the leak!? It seems to be coming down inside of the wall as no drips or water anywhere on the wall/ceiling, just wet carpet. I have had two builders come and try to find source of the leak and try different solutions with no luck. We have replaced flashing on outside balcony, patched a small hole in roof and replaced all the roof screws but nothing has stopped it. The builder went up in roof space during rain and couldn't see where it is coming from. If finding leaks is your specialty please help :)
