Downstairs room

Job description

Exterior Waterproofing
Taupo

We have mould in a downstairs room on two walls. Two walls are concrete block and have earth behind them to varying heights (the back one is the more mould effected - the soil is ceiling height. The side wall is mainly only mouldy along the bottom and the soil behind this is of graduated height). The back wall has been painted with waterproofing substance in the past but there has been no protective layer put between this and the soil behind. Over time mould has re-accumulated. There are waste pipes (from the bathroom above) behind the rear wall and a punga tree so there may be a leaking waste pipe contributing to the problem. Or not. The job is to dig the soil out behind the walls, remove the punga, investigate the waste pipes and replace any cracked ones, re-waterproof the walls in a way that will last (? maybe polyurethane or waterproofing paint backed by a polystyrene protective layer) and replace the soil. (There should be digger access as the property has duel access from above and below and the empty section next door can also be used for access.) We are hoping this can be done prior to Christmas but are realistic. The property is in Acacia Bay.
