leak around rangehood

we have had a leak in our kitchen ceiling and have had someone come in and silicone around the rangehood and replace some roof tiles but we still have a very small leak which we cant find the cause of. We need someone to come and have a look - we are thinking if the problem is the rangehood that maybe we should vent the rangehood out the suffet and replace the roof tiles
