Basement Waterproofing (Tanking)
Job description
Hi, I'm looking for a waterproofing professional who has experience with Below Ground Tanking and Liquid Membrane application. I have a basement that is getting damp and the outside concrete block walls need to be recoated on the outside with a suitable waterproofing liquid membrane to keep the moisture out. A protective layer will probably be needed on top of this waterproofing membrane to protect it from damage from the backfill (eg expanded polystyrene sheeting). I would also need the trenches to be dug to expose the affected walls (these will unfortunately have to be dug by hand as it isn't possible to get a digger in, but it is scoria and isn't too hard to dig out). Once the membrane and protective layer has been added to the concrete block walls, the trenches will need to be refilled with the previously removed backfill. Two trenches need to be dug and two walls need to be waterproofed. The details are as follows: Trench north D = 0.5 - 0.6m L = 4.5m Trench east D = 0.9 L = 7.7m I have attached a drawing of the walls in question from the original house plans. Richard and Mitch did an outstanding job trenching and waterproofing the outside wall of our basement area. They worked tirelessly in the rain and did amazing work.
