Waterproofing Sleepout
Job description
We are having damp issues in our sleepout . There is moisture coming through the concrete block walls and floor behind the gib, and also some water coming down from above due to a faulty gutter. We have had a building inspection which details the locations where leaks are occurring and the steps needed to address them (images attached). We were advised by the person who performed the inspection that our best course of action is to waterproof both sides of the concrete walls as well as the floor, in addition to the necessary repairs to the building's gutters and downspouts. Ideally we would like to get this job completed as soon as possible, before Christmas at the latest. The sleepout is located at the back of our property and is connected to the house by a wooden deck. There is site access down the side of the house. Our house is down an embankment from street level so unfortunately there is no direct driveway access to the property. This job has multiple components. Some are interior and some are exterior: Interior: -Removal of gib in sleepout -Removal of carpet in sleepout -Applying appropriate sealant to concrete block wall and concrete floors -Replacing gib and painting walls Exterior: -Fixing or replacing leaking gutters and downspouts -Checking seals around skylights and windows -Applying appropriate sealant to exterior of concrete block wall

Jeff impressed us on his site visit, making it clear that he understood what we needed done and had the skills needed to complete the work. He managed to address our long-standing damp issue in only five days, and communicated well throughout the process, explaining each step. Jeff and Deborah showed more professionalism than some larger companies I have used in the past, and I would recommend them highly.
