Shower leak repair
Job description
This upstairs shower leaks through the ceiling below it. Experimenting with directing water flow and taping over tile joints suggests that the water is getting through the joint between the tiles and the long drain. When this joint is taped over leaking through doesn't happen. I think that there is a rubber strip between the tiles and the drain. I'm looking for a reliable and long-term fix. Thanks

Ali is an excellent tradesman. Shower leaks are a you have to take it apart to find out what is needed job. He explained the most probable cause and what he would need to take apart to see, then what the next step would entail if further taking apart was needed and so on. He worked efficiently and carefully, found a solution to earlier poor design, fixed the leak and left it looking better than it had begun. I was impressed enough to ask him to do an additional plastering and painting job.
