French drain in garden

Job description

New Drainlaying Titirangi, Waitakere

Published on 29th July 2025

I am looking for a reliable drainlayer who can help de-swamp our backyard by digging a new French drain across the garden (approx. 8-10m in length). I expect this will need to be 60-70 cm deep and 30 cm wide. Including drainpipe, geotextile, and backfill as well as connection to the stormwater or other outlet. I will upload some photos once the weather improves. Thanks.

"Adrian completed the French Drain as quoted and to our satisfaction. Communication was mainly via TXT messages and OK. The work involved digging approx. 13m of drain in clay soil, ending in a cesspit, which had to be connected via pipe to a stormwater sink some 10m away."
