Rangehood ventalation

Existing range hood needs ventilation to exterior wall. Also the fan is very loud as if it's off centre or something. Range hood is over a large gas cooker. We did buy a kit for DIY but I think we need a trained person. I'm visiting my son for a week and would like to get this organised for him before I leave. So sometime before the 20th would be great. Flexible times during that date.
