Fix or install new ducting for new extractor fan

Hi All, We recently had a new kitchen extractor fan installed and have since realised that while it sucks air into it, no air is leaving the vent on the outside of the house. This is causing issues which we need to fix. Depending on extraction options, it might be easier to vent up through the concrete tile roof, but lookin for advice. Just noting, access is easy being a single story house on a flat section.
