Job description

Floor and Wall Tiling Hataitai, Wellington

Published on 15th March 2026

I am seeking quotes for a small entranceway tiling project.

The entranceway is approx 215 cm x 92 cm and has wooden board flooring (has been painted in the past).

I have some 20cm x 20cm Vietnamese cement tiles that I would like laid in a rectangle of 10 tiles long x 4 tiles wide.

I am purchasing some contrasting cement tiles for the border surround that will need to be cut and fitted to size.

There will need to be a stable substrate applied to the wood flooring and the tiles will need to be applied with appropriate glue/adhesive and grouted. They will also need to be sealed.

Note that the photos showing the 10 x 4 rectangle of tiles loosely laid on the floor are not centered, but the intention is for them to be centered andi for the border tiles to be laid evenly around the central rectangle.

"A 5 star all round rating for Paris of Zeus Tiling. He did a fantastic job tiling the entranceway of our 1928 Hataitai house. Although as with lots of old weatherboard houses, the rectangular space was not completely regular, Paris’ wealth of experience ensured that this was not at all evident in the end result. His attention to detail was superb, and he brings a very warm engaging manner and communication style to his work. I would strongly recommend him for any tiling jobs."
