Repair fireplace tiling and cut back wooden timber at top of fireplace

Looking for a smallish job on a lounge fireplace, to: 1. Cut back the top white shelf that sits at the top of the fireplace tiles 2. Repair some of the cracked/broken fireplace tiles Once done, we’ll be painting the fireplace tiles to match the colour of the paint on the walls. Mentioning as that may mean we don’t need cracked tiles replaced, more repaired.
