Shower Leak

Hi About six weeks ago I purchased a house and have since found out that the tiles in my shower leak, wetting the carpet outside the bathroom door. Did a test whereby I blocked the drain and fulled the tile area with water, and it was not long until the carpet got wet. Then tried applying grout sealer, which reduced the leaking but the water was still getting through. Would really appreciate a prompt fix. Thanks Nathan
