'letterbox' tile cutting

cutting a 'letterbox' hole in a solidly mounted ceramic wall tile (600mm2 x 10mm) to allow inlet pipe to shift for a replacement toilet cistern. No other cisterns use central inlet . can't move pan outlet. Need to liaise timing with plumber coming to install new toilet as lodger can't be without toilet for too long. I have one full size tile that matches in case of breakage
