Tiling a tv/fireplace wall

Hi there! We are in the process of finishing off our new wall unit in our lounge, extending our old fireplace with a box above it to hold a TV. We have yet to finish the top box with cement board which will sit flush with the line of the existing fireplace. We would like to tile the whole thing in the same tiles, we haven’t decided yet on whether we will go with large panelled tiles or else a grey subway tile so appreciate that costs depend on what we go with. Please get in touch if you are interested, we are hopefully looking at w/c 14 Oct to get the work done, and would be good to know if you have any advice over panel tile vs subway.
