One tile was removed by our plumber, along with part of the underlying wall board, to repair a blocked water pipe leading to the mixer. This has left a gap on one side of the mixer where the waterproof board needs to be restored before being tiled over and then reinstalling the mixer. The shower dates from before we bought the house and was likely installed around 1984.
