Assessment of Brick Surround and Advise

We want to remove the brick surround and hearth, then replace the wood burner on a new hearth, flush with a new wooden floor. We need an engineer to assess if the current bricks are load bearing. And advise what we need to replace this with. There is a wooden pole on the other side of the fireplace load-bearing a ceiling beam. Ideally we demolish the bricks and add in another wooden pole. Need quotes please, not sure how much this will cost.
