We are planning to remove a structural wall to open up the kitchen. This will require 6 metre beam. The beam will run along what was the exterior wall of the original 1940s house (an addition was made in the 70s). We also wish to remove the bracing and two studs from a bedroom wall. This is to build a wardrobe on the other side of the wall. This wall is directly under the main ridge of the roof. We are planning to replace with a lintel and possibly brace the back of the wardrobe.
