My current roof structure has a large overhang over a patio area. I'm wanting to remove the ceiling panels and trusses to create a vaulted ceiling above the patio. I'm looking for structural advice, timber requirements and sketch up of any specific installation requirements. I intend to do the actual build works (DIY). Photo "Patio 1" shows current state with part of the patio ceiling removed. Photo "Patio 2" shows the framing during original house construction.
