Job description

Structural Engineer
Auckland

I am looking to move a load-bearing wall & would like a structural engineer or LPB to assist with a consent application. The house is a 7m x 7m Brick unit (1 of 3) with a truss roof with decramastic tiles. The current design of the house (see image) has a wall (Coloured In Yellow) that appears to be load-bearing with a bracing element (See photos). What we are looking to do is to shift this load-bearing approx 1m backward & create another load-bearing wall on the other side of the house (along with building other walls but they will not be load-bearing). (see New layout/design). I have looked at all the trusses and they are the same thickness & truss type across the whole run of the house (The trusses run Left to Right from the perspective of these plans). This includes the open area where there are no load-bearing walls(current kitchen & living area). The photo of the brick wall in the roof is the neighbours/adjoining unit. The council plans show a different/conflicting layout of the house (attached) & I am also unsure if a wall has been removed by a previous owner.
