I am preparing a set of documents for the building consent application and one of the documents that is requred according to my architect is a "stormwater disposal report by a suitably qualified person". I imagine this means someone who does this sort of stuff all the time, like a civil engineer who specialises in stormwater management. The existing stormwater discharge is --- and the proposed stormwater discharge is --- - an increase of 20.05m2. The architest is saying that as none of the stormwater on the site is currently being disposed of, it is likely that the report will have to cover all the discharge, not just the additional 20m2. The property is below the road level and therefore has no physical ability to be connected to the city stormwater network, and existing building(s) discharge water to the ground, which sits on the volcanic rock in Kingsland/Mt Eden area.
