I am the Chair of a Body corporate. The building was originally designed to be primarily studio apartments. During construction this changed and many of the intended studios were built as one bedroom units. Now some owners want to convert to studios. There is concern that electrical, fire, plumbing etc could not support conversion. the committee would like someone to evaluate each application for it's suitability and impact on the building. E.g. One electrical report suggested that the power supply cables were not sufficient to support an apartment division.
