After being flooded in January 2023 we have had our house lifted and remodelled as mitigations. We have now been categorized as 2P, which means we can claim the cost back for the lift and associated remedial works which were done on a time and cost basis rather than fixed price. However it is very difficult to understand what costs were associated with this and the council has asked us to go to a quantity surveyor and get more hard and fast figures based on the work done and bills paid. We are looking for a QS with extensive residential experience and time + cost for builders work.
