Hearth refurbishment

We have a gas fire with a tiled hearth that is several inches high. We would like the hearth to be shorter. We think the hearth is concrete on top of the floorboards, so the job is removal of the existing hearth, then installation of tiles at the floor level.

Wall rebuilds

We need two small walls rebuilt, we have the blocks for at least one of the walls, the other may need to be sourced. Our dog knocked them over. One is 4 blocks high by around 4 blocks wide The other is two blocks high and around 8 blocks wide See photos, if possible we'd like this completed this week (ideally by 1st Sep)

Air Vent replacement

I’m needing to replace an air vent that is located within the outside foundations - see photo attached. One photo is what the other vents look like. It doesn’t have to match just need it replaced so it helps with keeping under the house dry and insulated.

Raising entrance floor and stairs

Wanting to move laundry to an open and covered cavity outside the entrance. The cavity has concrete floor. The floor needs to be raised, so that it aligns with the inner floor of property. Due to raised floor, 2 concrete stairs steps outside the cavity need to be adjusted accordingly.

Retaining wall with corner

We are having an engineer design this wall which will be 3m long on the short side and 6-7 metres long on the long side including the corner as shown in photos. The engineer has advised already that the corner section needs to be blockwork for strength as it will be 2-3 metres tall at that point. There will be some drainage requirements also. At this point we would very much appreciate a cost estimate. The completed survey and design is at least 3 months away.

Replace crumbling bricks in an open fireplace. 1920’s house, the open fire has several fire bricks that have crumbled and exposed the soft interior, much of the mortar has come out too. This is only an issue in the fireplace itself, the rest of the chimney is fine.
