We're looking to buy a house that comes with a self contained flat. Joining the house with the flat would involve installing some stairs. We want a quick view on whether that would be viable. The deadline for offers on the house is this week, so tomorrow or the next day would be the latest time to take a quick look and give some indicative advice. Cost would be on a time spent basis. Maybe an hour + travel (plus the possibility of getting the substantive work, if everything pans out).
