Attic storage installation in Karori

We'd like to install attic stairs to access our roof space for storage. It's an old state house in Karori with a large roof space (has insulation and an HRV system up there). There's an access hatch already, but ideally we'd like the attic stairs to be installed in a different location rather than enlarging the current hatch. We would also like to install some flooring panels (about 8 square metres) in the roof space to provide a storage platform, using 'attic stilts' or similar. Something like this: ---
