We would like a large skylight possibly two/three joined together depending on cost installed over out kitchen/dining area. We need it to be highly thermally insulated since we just paid to get the windows double glazed we do not want major heat loss through a new skylight install. The ceiling over the dining area is pitched (there is no ceiling space) so the skylight would not need to be boxed through the roof cavity if installed over the dining area (as opposed to the kitchen are which does have space between the ceiling and the roof). The roofing is regular colorbond steel. A ball park quote on the cost of a large skylight vs a couple of glazed skylights joined together (i.e. not 3 separate holes if that is possible) and the price difference (if there is one) for installing with a roof cavity vs without.
