Job was quoted at $274 without a site visit. I had no idea how long it would take. Andrew was onsite for 3.5hrs for an hourly rate of $78/hr. Andrew ce. I did my best and had a base of gravel that easily could have been moved around to level the site with about 5-10 minutes after he built the base. The shed is built and I now have to lift/move the shed to level the site. Competitive hourly rates are about $45/hr, so Andrew overcharged by about $100.

"The pricing that i use is set by head office and is fair, $45 p/h would mean that i would only be able to pay myself $7.50 per hour after I pay taxes and running costs.
The job was clearly quoted 'clear, level and unconfined', and required more gravel to be added rather than spreading what was there as the shed is sitting too low. This was made very clear at the time to the home owner.
Client was also 2 weeks late payment with no communication or any sign that they were unhappy with the job."
