I have a retractable awning (3.6m x 2.5m, 20kg, folding arm, hand crank) that I wish to have installed above my sliding door, to shade my deck and provide some privacy from an overlooking bridge/walkway. I purchased the awning online. It came in a box with an instruction manual. I've assembled some of the awning and am at the point of measuring, marking, and drilling etc. I don't have the necessary tools or strength for the rest of my project (I think getting it up into the brackets once they're secured, is a 2 person job) and was hoping someone could take over from here. Included with my awning is a set of expanding bolts - for masonry/brick - but my house is weatherboard. The support studs need to be found and I read coach screws work in place of the expanding bolts but I don't actually know. If anyone can help with this, I'd really appreciate that.
