Roof Membrane Installation

Job image

Job description

New & Replacement Metal Roof
Wellington

There are three flat sections on my roof which are covered with butyl rubber membrane. The total area is about 44 square meters. I want to replace both the membrane and the roof substrate on all three sections. I am replacing the substrate because I believe it is currently particle board, even though the house plans indicate it should be plywood. I have split the job into two parts, for a builder to replace the substrate, and, for a roofer to replace the membrane. I am looking for a Roofer, who is an Approved Applicator of a EPDM or butyl rubber membrane product, to provide a quote including the following items: 1.Coordinate the timing of the job with the Builder to minimise the time between the substrate being replaced and the new membrane being installed. 2.Arrange the purchase and delivery of a suitable EPDM or butyl rubber membrane product that has a current BRANZ Appraisal. I have included a diagram of the three roof areas with this request. 3.Install the new membrane in full compliance with current New Zealand Building Code Clause E2/AS1 for Membrane Roofs and Decks. This will include the re-installation of some existing metal roof tiles, flashings and weather boards. Some of the roof tiles and flashing may have to be modified or renewed, as the fall of the substrate will have been changed by the builder.
