Because of poor drainage on parts of the Butynol roof, water and dirt collects on some low lying parts of the roof. The work includes installing an approximate 30cm wide plank, installed flush with the top of the internal step slanting down to the lower surface, covering most of these areas, ending flush at the bottom. The step is approximate 242cm long and 8 cm high. The plank and the surrounding areas should prepared, strengthened and waterproofed in preparation of application of Butynol to these areas, both on the top and lower surface areas. Suitable Butynol should be applied with enough over lap to ensure waterproof application. An all-weather waterproof installation is required. Suggest a site visit by the contractor to familiarize themselves with the roof area.
