New roof for bach and shed
Job description
I am looking for a price to replace the existing roof (galvanized iron) with a new colour-steel roof (preferably of a dark green colour) with the roof of the shed on the same property to be replaced at the same time and the old roofing material taken from the island. I cannot give you an accurate measurement of the roof area. It has various pitches and differing slopes so it is very hard to judge. (Measurements 11.2 metres x 9.45 meters – very approximate). There is also a rectangular area (15.7 metres x 6.3 metres – very approximate). The shed is relatively small and has a pitched roof. There are no measurements of the roof over the shed. Attached are some photographs that give some idea to the roof and its present state. Photographs 1 and 2 are the Eastern end of the roof. Photograph 3 is the North-Eastern end. Photograph 4 is the Western end with the shed in the background. Photograph 5 is the Western end again. Photograph 6 is the shed. On the back there is a roof area that is nearly square. This roof replacement is to take place on Kawau Island. That presents its own problems in getting the roofing materials and contractors to and from the island. The re-roofing should ideally be carried out in liaison with an electrician who could, at the time of the roof removal, check the existing wiring and replace, or add to it, as required. A quotation for the carrying out of this work is sought together with advice as to the guarantees that would be provided in regard to the new roofing.

These people communicated well and were fast, efficient and pleasant. They were excellent in all aspects, with the exception of a failure to fully ensure the complete disconnection of one water tank. This was brought to our attention by Rimu Roofing who accepted full responsibility. That issue has been resolved.
