Small Atrium Roof, Leaking Water Into Ceiling Area

Job description

Repair Tin & Coloursteel
Auckland

The house is divided into two flats. Flat 1 has a front atrium door entrance that leads to the front door of the flat. The small atrium area has its own small tin roof covering, separate to the rest of the house roofing; I assume the atrium was added later or after the main house was built. A small leaking of rainwater started ages ago. The previous owner covered it with corrogated iron. Which worked, but probably corrosion maybe causing the leak now. I have tried to seal up any obvious probably areas the might be letting water through. But the tenant reported rainwater was still entering the ceiling, which causes the light bulb to not work, until it dries out. I notice the spouting is medium size and on extra rainy days, the spouting overflows. And if the downpipe was blocked, overflowing might be getting overflowing into the roofing area that way. But the downpipe is clear. The best way maybe is to just remove both layers of tin roofing, due to corrosion issues and replace with new iron. It's a very small area. Length 1235mm x Width 1200mm. I think the width is the shorter measurement, forgot to write that down. I think this is a small job, but since it's a tenanted situation, I need someone to fix it in one day and guarantee it doesn't leak. Need a 4 to 5 metre ladder. A couple of photo enclosed.
