Install downpipe to existing gutter

Job description

Metal Spouting & Downpipes
Auckland

Since installing the acrylic roof over the deck area, the section of guttering that receives the run-off from the new roof is overwhelmed during moderate to heavy rainfall. My plan is to install an additional downpipe from about the centre of the gutter section, down the right side of the ranch slider, under the deck to a spreader under the deck step. Water will then drain away to the soak pit via the grate (approx 2m from step). Decking timer is mostly fixed with screws so is relatively easy to remove for access. Existing downpipes are Marley PVC RP80. Gutter is coloursteel (2-3 years old). Height from deck to gutter, 2.1m. Deck width from wall to front of step, 4m. I would like this job completed as soon as possible.

Karl installed a new downpipe for me in a challenging position. The job was completed to a high standard and achieved the desired result. Great communication throughout as some deviation from the original plan was required. Would definitely engage Karl again for future projects.
