Good afternoon We are trying to obtain a code of compliance for our home and are hoping you can help. Prior to us purchasing the property (2005) a structural supporting wall had been removed which we recently found out was without a permit. We have had it checked and have been told that it is code compliant. The old bath and vanity has also been relocated – to what was the Laundry - the toilet was existing in the Laundry. The old bathroom is now an office. The plumbing was done professionally however a permit was not obtained to convert the Laundry into a Bathroom. The Laundry is now situated in the garage. Our plan is to again renovate the bathroom – with a permit so it complies with the current building code and get anything else required to obtain code of compliance. I have attached a copy of the plan to give you an idea of some of the changes and where everything is located. Proposed Bathroom renovation Remove bathtub and vanity. Remove wall linings and flooring. Keep existing toilet. Create wet room area Create walk in shower. New vanity We are open to consider different types of wall linings to be installed (currently fully tiled) Are you able to advise what will be required and provide a detailed quote please. Kind Regards Shane Dunn and Andrea Peters
