Our current kitchen is a small room (4 walls with door, more like a bathroom) at the back of our cottage in the lean-to area. Currently it is approx 2.5x3. There is a wall dividing it from a bedroom in the other half of the lean-to. We would like to knock the wall out between both rooms to create a long kitchen/dining area with doors (French or bi-fold preferably wooden joinery) opening out onto a deck which is currently accessed from a side door off the laundry. So the total area would be approximately 2.5x6m. We would need to completely gut the lean to area and start again, with new cabinetry etc in the kitchen also as the current ones are old and had it. We will need new lights and the oven will have to be moved. So basically a new kitchen! The pictures attached show current kitchen from the doorway. The wall that the oven is against is the one we would like to remove. The other one shows the current kitchen window (on right) and bedroom (left) and the deck we want to open up on to.
