Basement Rumpus Reno

I have a basement rumpus with dampness and mould issues. I am unsure how in depth the fix is going to need to be. We initially thought the gib was ok as is but have found a damp spot where the paint had cracked and beneath is mould. Any ideas and cost estimates would be good.
