Time to smarten up
Job description
Bathroom is 1700 x 1800. It currently has a bath with a shower over it. There is also a corner vanity. There was a leak from the shower some years ago and this has damaged the floor beneath the bath, so it needs replacing (partial?). It is easily accessible from the basement workshop (no ceiling lining). The wall linings are formica which needs total replacement. We are debating the possibility of extending the bathroom into the area outside the house (currently part of a deck) and combining this with providing a proper porch and some storage. However if this is too expensive or not cost effective, we will also consider just having a shower and a new vanity. We are both in our seventies, but my husband is very capable and can help. (He did a lot of the house building himself.) I don't like the budget options given, so have erred on the high side, especially to allow for the more expensive option, but hope it won't go to the top of this range, as we have other jobs that also need doing .

We were very happy with Matt and his team. The only hiccup was with the plasterers who didn't turn up when they said they would to sand so we could paint. Once we let Matt know about this they were there pronto! All of the team were very pleasant to deal with, kept us informed about progress and answered any questions we had.
