Old crap kitchen!

Just brought my first home, it's old and the kitchen is crap, need to install a new one, full replacement/would like a gas hob (there is gas in the house but ? If in kitchen (I will need help with what will fit etc not looking for a million dollar job but would love a million dollar look 😅 do I buy new or can you fit a 2nd hand one in ????? Need help 🙏🤪
