Install range hood, splash back for new gas oven and replace melamine.

We purchased a splash back and range hood for our kitchen in our 1920's villa and need these installed. In addition the melamine and seals need to be replaced to freshen things up. It might look/work better for the melamine replacement to be used instead of the splash back we purchased, so appreciate advice.
