Looking to get help with a bathroom upgrade, it is our first renovation so would need someone with experience for guidance. Timeframe is flexible, if possible we are thinking of converting to gas at the same time as the water pressure to the shower isn't great. I have an appointment with the bank in the middle of Feb for funding so currently looking for quotes. Current ideas are, replacing bath with freestanding (staying in existing position), upgrading basin and cabinet (again in existing position) swapping location of shower and toilet and changing to a tiled shower with fixtures and a shelf insert. Replacing walls, there is currently a plastic sheeting thing on the walls and not sure what is in behind but assuming its not gibed. Hoping someone can help guide through any consents if needed as well guidance for efficiently upgrading a small bathroom so it feels relaxed and roomy. I like the idea of tiles on the wall but if its a costly item then I'd stick with just the shower and maybe the wall by the bath. No tile flooring, we don't have underfloor heating and tiles get cold on frosty mornings, I was thinking the vinyl flooring that looks like hardwood. It's our only bathroom so while we don't have a timeframe for when it would start it would be great if we weren't without a bathroom for too long. Much appreciated.
