Recess shower

We are looking at purchasing this property however it has no shower and has a water meter so are wanting a shower put in. As you can see there is currently no room but there is a small room next door that can be extended into. So I'm wondering about building a recess which extends into the room next door for a shower (on the left of the window) this will mean removing the vanity and replacing it with a smaller one. I wondering about how much this would cost? I was hoping for a fully tiled wet floor style shower but am on a tight budget so I'm open to any suggestions.
