New Kitchen bench required

Remove old kitchen bench and replace with new or second hand good quality kitchen bench OR just tidy up, what I have there, where the big board is that is covering the hole. Carpentry skills required. Work needs to be finished in as short a time frame as possible, because lots use the kitchen. I'm not too worried about sink side. Just where hole is, the main priority. I need advice if you can help with that. Property is Apartment, Vincent St,CBD, Auckland
