We bought a property a few years back. Previous owners had removed two walls and shifted a toilet into the bathroom. We had the bathroom tiled and renovated by professionals. We are now trying to sell the property and the floor plans do not match. The walls removed were not structural and the toilet was moved to an adjacent bathroom so we have researched and found that the work done was exempt from consent. How ever not sure what needs to be done to have the right information on the council property file so that buyers have piece of mind.
