We would like to engage a planning consultant familiar with the Rodney area to discuss the possibility of building a second dwelling on our property under Auckland Unitary Plan Table H1.4.1 (A5) Discretionary [More than one dwelling per site (other than a minor dwelling in Rule H1.4.1(A4))]. We have an unusual site divided by a common driveway; after discussing with the council our options, they have made this suggestion in preference to trying to subdivide.
