Replace the clay stormwater to the street

Job description

Drainlaying
Wellington

Hi. The clay stormwater drain in the road reserve in front of my property has collapsed. Wellington water say that's my problem. Ok. So I've dug up the collapsed drain and run a drain clearer water blaster down it to get all the accumulated dirt out, but..... I can't get the water blaster pipe to go further than where all the services cross the drive from the power pole. In particular the Chorus fibre trench (hint hint). In the photo you can see the water blaster hose laying out as far as it will go into the clay drain, the shovel is where chorus trenched. The clay is only down about 100-150mm. Way too shallow. But that's the way it's always been. Immediately above the collapsed section is plastic. So that's good. I'm ok with digging a trench and laying a drain, but negotiating around services and/or how to hassling Chorus/WCC about why that dug through my drain is a bridge too far. I'm happy to do the hassling, just no idea where to begin. Will also need to reinstate the bitumen.
