Water pressure on shower

We have completed renovations a few months ago and the shower pressure is not up to a standard that we would have hoped for. The plumber / gasfitter who completed the work came back after we had a conversation and removed something in the shower that controlled the flow and it had little / to no impact Not sure exactly what is relevant but to help understand further, we switched from cylinder to gas (piped up to house) and live up on a hillside. The shower head is an Adesso unit from Mico Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
