Drainage Engineer inspection help

Job description

Drainlaying
Waikato

I have a difficult situation with property drainage on a coastal property in Raglan. This property has significant water and damp soil under the house which needs to be dried. We have tried to achieve this with a french drain but have come across some troubles. We have dug a 400mm unfinished french drain around half the property and pushed the water into the proper stormwater stream which runs adjacent to the property. Problem is the high tide floods the stormwater and then the saltwater/stormwater back flood into the property french drain. This water runs 150mm below the house piles and about 150mm below the ground surface. So it appears the high tide water table is about 150mm below property ground. I am not sure if I dug a random hole whether it would fill up with water or not. I suspect it wouldn't as the high tide is only in twice a day and can backfill for about 3 hours each time. Probably not enough to creep back through the soil onto the property. But I don't fully know. We are needing a solution for getting water away from the property and under the house ideally via the already dug french drain. We have thought about a stormwater tank with water pump however, this would sit below the high tide water table and may have water fill from the tidewater? If this wouldn't be an issue I would need help with placement and size and help with any other issues arrising. This already existing salty water which is in the soil is causing rot on the H5 piles under the house (totally unrelated to the backflow I have created). So I am looking for a drainage engineer to inspect the property with me and come up with a solution on site. Someone with experience with this should know what to do and can tell me onsite what needs to be done. I would like to get the solution right to avoid any issues down the track.
