Urgent water leek
Job description
Council came to read our water meter and discovered its reading was extremely high. Apparently we need a registered plumber to find and fix the problem in 14 days. This is what they have told us: the water meter reading taken on 2 December was 318 cubic metres (m3), showing that 207 m3 of water had passed through the meter since 29 August at an average rate of 2.17 m3 per day. When we checked the meter on 4 December the reading was 325 m3. The meter was turning. We have personally had a look at the metre and its turning quickly, with no water on in the house at all. We noticed a soggy patch of water not far from the metre near our fence line.
